The Vocational Promotion and Guidance Branch, operating under the Western Thrace Minority University Graduates Association, held an introductory interview on the Department of Dentistry for high school students on Friday, January 13, 2023.
Trakya University Faculty of Dentistry 3rd year student Humeyra Muhtar Salih attended the conversation. Our speaker, who benefited from the Vocational Promotion and Guidance branch during her high school years, shared her experiences and suggestions with our students who were excited as they are passing the choice year. She talked about the points to be considered in the selection of the department, the selection process, the importance of the ideas received from the people who practice the profession and how these are reflected in their own preferences. She gave examples from her own life to the students who will choose the Dentistry Department and listed the advantages and disadvantages she experienced when she started the education process. She talked about the course contents and emphasized on the importance of disciplined work without compromising in this section. The conversation ended with the recommendations given to the students.
