The Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board participated in the Antalya
Diplomacy Forum, which was held for the fifth time this year. The forum, which took
place from April 17-19, brought together 23 heads of state and government from over
150 countries, as well as thousands of diplomatic representatives, forming an
important platform for international dialogue and cooperation. The Western Thrace
Turkish Minority delegation, which included our association president, had the
opportunity to hold high-level meetings during the forum.
Within this framework, meetings were held with various ministry officials, deputy
ministers, and high-level political representatives serving in the fields of presidency
and diplomacy, primarily including Emine Erdoğan, wife of the President of the
Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan; Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign
Affairs of the Republic of Turkey; and Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, Minister of Family
and Social Services of the Republic of Turkey. These contacts were extremely
productive in terms of representing the Western Thrace Turkish Minority on
international platforms, developing mutual exchange of views, and evaluating future
cooperation opportunities. The forum also contributed to strengthening dialogue
channels between representatives from different countries.
