PARTICIPATION IN THE APRIL 23 RECEPTION

The April 23 Reception organized by the World Turkish Business Council (DTİK) was held
with high participation. The event, organized in cooperation with Turkey’s Consul General in
Komotini, Aykut Ünal, and Levent Sadik Achmet, emphasized national sovereignty,
supporting young people, and the importance of entrepreneurship. In the “From Tradition to
the Future” panel, Gkizem Mpesim, Head of the Women’s Branch of the Western Thrace
Minority University Graduates Association, highlighted the importance of women taking a
more active role through education; while Eslem Ali Tsavous, representative of the Young
Academicians Community, emphasized the difficulties young people face in finding job and
internship opportunities. The program concluded with the presentation of plaques and a
reception.
