The Vocational Guidance and Counseling Branch of the Western Thrace Minority
University Graduates Association held a session titled “Life is Not About What
Happens to Us, It’s About How We React to What Happens to Us” as part of its
Personal Development Workshops on February 27, 2026. Mert Sali, Kioumpra
Mehmet, Ali Nuri, and İsmail Sali, all 9th-grade students, began their presentation by
providing information on personal awareness, life planning, and perfectionism,
accompanied by visuals. They gave definitions and examples of flexibility and rigidity.
While emphasizing that the connection we have with technology, which has invaded
our lives, is not the real connection, they underlined that the real connection is
between people. They spoke about embracing differences and how life is a blessing.
They concluded their presentation by wishing all the listeners a life story worth
living. The workshop ended with a question-and-answer session.
